This Privacy Policy explains how Skynet Ventures, LLC (“Skynet Ventures,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit skynetventures.io (the “Site”), use the apps we publish on Apple’s App Store and other platforms (the “Apps”), or work with us as a client (together, the “Services”).
01Who we are
Skynet Ventures, LLC is a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, located at 3500 South DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901. We are responsible for the personal information processed under this policy. If you have a question about it, write to hello@skynetventures.io or call +1 (605) 827-3408.
02Information we collect
Information you give us
When you email us, ask for an introduction, request support or become a client, we receive the information you choose to share, such as your name, email address, company, and the contents of your messages and any files you attach.
Information collected automatically on the Site
When you visit the Site, our hosting provider automatically records standard server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the pages you request, the referring page and the date and time of each request. We use these logs to operate and secure the Site. The Site does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
Information in our Apps
Each App is designed to collect only what it needs to work. The data an App collects, if any, is described in that App’s privacy details on its App Store page and, where relevant, in notices shown inside the App.
- Accounts. If an App lets you create an account, we collect what’s needed to run it, such as your email address or the private relay address and identifier provided by Sign in with Apple.
- Device permissions. If an App needs access to features like your camera, photos, location, contacts, microphone or health data, it asks for your permission first. We use that access only for the feature you requested, and you can change it at any time in your device’s Settings.
- Purchases. In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never receive your payment card details. Apple shares limited transaction information with us, such as confirmation of a purchase, so we can provide what you bought.
- Diagnostics. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may provide us with crash reports and aggregated usage statistics, which we use to fix problems and improve the Apps.
Information from clients
When we build software for a client, we may process personal information on that client’s behalf. In that case, the client’s agreement with us governs how the information is handled, and we act on the client’s instructions.
03How we use information
- To provide, operate, maintain and improve the Services.
- To respond to messages, support requests and introductions.
- To perform our agreements with clients and manage our business relationships.
- To keep the Services secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and diagnose technical problems.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
04AI and your information
Our studio uses AI models and agents to help design, write and test software. We do not use personal information from the Site or the Apps to train AI models.
If an App offers a feature powered by an AI model, the App will explain what information the feature sends, to whom, and why, before you use it. Client data is used in AI-assisted work only as our agreement with that client allows.
07Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, including to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. When we no longer need it, we delete or anonymize it. If you delete an App account, we delete the personal information associated with it, except where the law requires us to keep it.
08Security
We protect personal information with administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege access for our team and tools. No system is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. Where the law requires it, we will notify you and the relevant authorities of a data breach.
09Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent you have given. To make a request, email hello@skynetventures.io. We may need to verify your identity before we respond, and we will respond within the time the law requires. We won’t discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
United States residents
If you live in California or another state with a consumer privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to delete it; to correct it; and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We don’t sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by these laws. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland
We process personal information on the following legal bases: to perform a contract with you; for our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the Services and responding to you; to comply with legal obligations; and with your consent where it is required. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10Children’s privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in your country, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11International transfers
Skynet Ventures is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
12Third-party services
The Services may link to or integrate with services we don’t control, including the App Store. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.
13Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the “Last updated” date above. If a change is material, we will give you additional notice, for example in the App or by email.
14Contact us
Questions, requests or complaints about this policy or our handling of personal information can be sent to us at any time.
